Its really nice i like the 69 thru 73 the only drawback is the 360 not sure how good they are. i know 340 small block is great motor and very fast in duster demon etc. 360 engines have less horse in 18 foot cars. i have never driven in a 360 but I would think there not much more powerful then a 318

I just realized I don't think I ever rode in this car...

I can say I have driven a 71 polara with all three small blocks and will say the 360 ran as strong as the 340 I pulled from a 70 Duster . However, that was 30 years ago. The 360 was a 2 barrel and the 340 had a t quad. That would be the difference maker if there was one

I drove my Dad's 71 Fury w/ 360 2 BBL and it was definitely quick to accelerate and had enough torque and pull to set you back ... much stronger by seat of the pants than a 318 of same vintage esp in that big of a car.

you should take it for a ride before it goes then

I have no interest, especially with dad driving . A funny thing happened to me recently, for the first time I feel content with what is in the garage. . . Like, I dont need anything else. Now, sure I'd like to have that 69 wagon OR a finned convertible but thats just "like ta" not "gotta".

I agree with this post of Tallhair:

Those 360s will pull very strong due to its good torque and the higher stall torque converter than the 318s came with. I thought it was stronger than the 400-2 bbl engines around town at least.

Yes those early 360's are very snappy

they have a longer stroke than the 383/400's and more compression than the 72 400

And torque maxes at a lower RPM
