1975 Imperial trunk lock medalion

Hi all! What was used to attach the trunk lock medalion? Speed nuts or barrel clips?

Thank you. Is there a gasket or do you just use sealer in the nuts?

The reason I'm asking all this is that I'm putting a pn 3695502 '73 NYB medallion on my '76. The medallion I've got is NIB but there is no gasket or mounting hardware although there appear to be drain holes in the bottom of the casting.

The 74/75 Imperial lock cylinder cover had a plastic gasket behind it...speed nuts had goober on them to seal...like caulking strip/ play doh.

Don't know about the 72/73 NY cover, but I presume it was the same.

I don't know either. The '73 body manual just shows the medallion and the fasteners. No mention of a gasket and there really is no flat surface around the mounting area, just a very thin edge of metal. So I guess I'll have to wing it.
