Garage kept and stored since 1986. This true gem runs. And is all original

Green interior. Electric windows. New battery. Electric everything. 2 sets of original hubcaps. Wire wheels and deep dish. No rust or filler. Engine is clean.
Has CB in it ! This is a fast and heavy car.
Clean title. Tires are excellent condition. Needs to be detailed and put back in garage. Most of these were destroyed because of the gas shortage back at that time. A true gem. Serious inquires only. The top is in excellent condition. No rips.

All opinion I know, but the thunder chickens of the late 70's were nice cars. I Would love to have one.

'76 was the last year for the platform shared with Lincoln Marks. Typical Ford vacuum lines everywhere! That emerald green acrylic enamel will shine up like new, with some buffer action.

Put a non-retarded cam sprocket in it and it should run a little better. Very nice cars, even back then!

The earlier "beak Birds" ('70-'71) normal hardtops were my favorite. The Landau was especially fancy, but that squared-off top didn't really fit the swoopy styling of that body, to me.

I appreciate those cars for what they are, but the desire to have one has passed for the moment, compared to some others I like.

I'm not being anti-Ford, but this generation leaves me cold. A mailed-in effort. I can see why '77 was a huge success.

The 1972/76 T-Bird was nothing but a glorified LTD11 / Torino ....
Was ugly then and is ugly now....

The downsized Bird in '77 was when it went to the LTD II mid-size platform. The '72-'76 Bird was on the same platform as the Lincoln Marks, which was quite a bit larger and heavier that what came in '77. '76 was not my favorite on the '72-'76 era Bird, though.

Is that an oil filter on the air cleaner? I've never seen an air cleaner setup like that on any Ford. Very weird.

Interesting that Ford offered no hubcap options that year.:)

That's the pcv filter on the air cleaner. A Ford oil filter, as I recall, rather than the little dinky things GM used.

The "standard" wheel covers are in the trunk. Wire wheel covers optional (not the ones in the trunk, on the left).

It's a lot funnier to think it's the oil filter though:rofl:.

Wonder who the super genius was that came up with that thing was?

I'm getting more and more annoyed just looking at that engine compartment, and that thing is the focal point:rofl:
