Description

About as close to mint as you can get, this is a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham in midnight blue with light blue marble texture velor interior. In level of luxury this car is the equivalent of high level Cadillacs and Lincolns but has the advantage of Chrysler's far superior TorsionAire suspension with torsion bars in the front and asymmetrical leaf springs in the rear. Power is a 400 cubic inch v8, the successor to the famed 383. Transmission is A727 Torque flute. All accessories work except for the radio which I left alone because I figured the buyer would probably prefer a replacement unit of his or her own choosing. Brake lines have been replaced, a new master cylinder installed, and the front suspension rebuilt. The troublesome 1978 wiper system has been replaced using a kit from Murray B Park. AC blows cold. This is as fine an example of this car as you will ever see and in the very rare, highly sought after midnight blue. After many years of taking a backseat to contemporaneous Coupe Deville's and Continentals, The New Yorker Brougham is now stepping out among collector cars
