3 Speed Wiper motor Repair

Hi all,

Just found rhis thread. I recentlt bought a 72 Newport sedan, and am getting after the little problems. Wipers dont park, looked into it and the guide ramp on the wiper motor gear is wiped out. Are there replacements out there?

What is the best way to lubricate the pivots ?
I have just access to those while the wiper Motor is removed.
I have not yet removed the pivots. Can I take them apart for cleaning and lubrication ?

Remove them from the car and dunk them in a can or tray of motor oil for a day. Let them drain before reinstalling on the car.

On the rare occasion that they are starting to seize up, dunk them in rust penetrant first to free them up, then into the motor oil.
