440 base pan for a 66 newyorker

Had a 440 built for my 66 newyorker and my idler arm is hitting my base pan anyone got any idea what's going on or the picture of a proper base pan help

I just went through this myself. The cbodies have a specific oil pan. They have an impression in the so them idler arm has clearance.

Do you have the old pan off the engine that was originally in it ?

It needs the "187" or "499" oil pan. You should be able to find someone local that has one. They're farily common and you normally see them for sale on the A body sites because that's the right pan for a BB A body too.
