Disclaimer: I have no interest in this truck. It's at the shop. According to the shop owner, they have put $10,000 worth of work into it. The owner has an investment of 4,000 in the engine alone. I don't know how accurate this is. Anyway, here are some pics.

LOL, understood. I promised the truck owner that I would post this. I always keep my promises. Hence the disclaimer. Some here think I'm a purist...guess it's true. :) Some things don't need to be modified. Keep telling my hubby that when he starts talking exercise.

I waz thinking of telling the owner to loose the LT1, Phord Pig, the discz if they ain't Mopar, and even the Ididit tilt and FYI, the machinist that carves those columns out for Ididit is a personal friend. Then maybe the body iz still worth 2-3K. Anybody that would insult a Mopar by stuffing ah Bowtie horse between its rails should be neutered. Now ask me what I really think!

HERE....HERE....I AGREE..... Chevy engines are for chevveys or boat anchors..... I have no use for either.
The ole Ford truck is cool...... just use ford power in it. (Mopar would be acceptable).

I've got a couple Ford 390s that would do nicely. :3gears:
nothing wrong with those FE motors there tork monsters, wish I had one in my 58 short step side, right now it has 400m ford motor.

My grandpa had a 400 ford wagon; the thing wouldn't do a burnout in the mud. Yes, the FEs are great. Powerful and tough, but the sodium valves in the 427s don't do too well. I would love a 406 Tripower car.

I still have two 390s and a pinto engine lying around for anyone interested.

I haven't quite understood why some guys put Chevy motors in Fords or vice versa. I could maybe unstand if it was an older hot rod. Maybe that's all they had available at the time.

It needs another 10 grand to finish it.

Cheaper to buy and build a small block chevy and imop there also good motors, not about a ford motor in a chevy tho, there spendy.
