Yeah, IIRC it was FS around $35k, which was still too high. (it is logged in the '4-speed C-body thread')

For the money, the underhood needs some attention. Nothing major, but it should be already done.
The interior is not original, as the front seats have been recovered -- the 'chrome' stripes are not correct.
But otherwise it looks pretty honest.

I wonder if the bright red hurts it - it's not a color I would choose. Too much red, needs a black VT to break it up.

I'm sorry, for $40k I want the extra $700 worth of Cragars/tires included.

I've seen quite a few red 65/66 2dr Fury's in the past decade or so, I don't think it's a determent, I kind of like red on this body style, not so for the 1968 year, in fact what got me started in saving pictures from CL and other sites was a red putty'd up bondo box 65/66 426 Fury similar to this but automatic that was on CL back in the day when the hi-res pictures that were worth saving started up. It was on CL several times over a year or so then transitioned to Hemmings as I followed it, same pictures and a $20k+ price pretty much will lead you to believe it went nowhere.

This car, this price, with the crappy pictures but I see plenty of road grunge/grime on intake manifold and do I see red overspray on firewall wiring and accessories? A little touch up there in it's time? No mention if the exterior paint is original.

Fender Tag for our posterity:
