Gents,

I came across this car for sale, any thoughts? $3k. Per seller:

1966 Chrysler 300
Barn Find, Survivor car.
Original paint & interior, never has been restored.
Chryslers muscle car
2 Door Hardtop, Bucket seats, Eng 440 CU, Automatic, Power steering & power brakes.
Runs good, car needs Paint & Interior work.
EZ Restoration project
Pictures available upon request.

I love the "EZ restoration" comment. Used a lot by folks who have never restored anything.

Looks like a solid starting point though, It goes beyond paint and interior. I would expect to have to invest 8-12K over the cost of the car to bring it to 2-3 condition.

Yup. Nothing "EZ" about restoring these cars. GM A Body, maybe, but not C Bodies. It's not like you can open a catalog and buy everything you need.
 
I would think the price is negotiable. It looks like a complete car which is what you want. I would inspect under carpet and under side of course. Something looks bubbly at the waist trim on the right side. if there's rust there it's probably pretty rusty under it.
 
I received some additional photos and unfortunately quite a bit more rust than I want to tackle. The search continues . . . most interested in fuselage bodies so send leads my way. Many thanks, Darren
 
not a440 prob a 400 intake an carb.or hole 400. i seen the electronic dis. but no 440. no i.d. boss behind water pump
