Does anyone have photos of their ORIGINAL front brake hard lines that they can share with me? The previous owner of this car replaced the brake lines in the front, but they seem to be routed very poorly and indeed, in some places were rubbing on either the core support or the diagonal strut bars that go to the front of the car. I put in small pieces of fuel line over the rubbing points to avert disaster, but I’d like to see some original lines to compare with mine. I have a feeling the lines are no where near their original factory locations.

Seems to be a clip on the frame here where this line should be routed through. Also you can see how the brake line was resting on the strut bar.

Wow thats a mess. Go with in line tube they fit great and have the gravel guard also where it is needed.

From the parts book is this general routing diagram. I know that the line goes under the radiator. Some of these things would need to be removed to install the lines. I have to do the same thing this summer.

I found this one photo that shows how the brakeline is routed over the top of the right frame rail. When I get to my storage soon, I can take a picture of the whole routing on the parts car.

Thank you. I see it now. I have those clips on the frame, on either side, and the brake lines curretnly installed aren't going to them. They just float on by. Not sure what's going on but I'm started to think the PO bent the lines himself rather than installing a pre-bent kit.

Thanks for the links, photos and tips!
