66 chrysler new yorker front ride height

hi, ive got my 66 service manual, and it talks about adjusting the torsion bars to control the front ride height. I'm wondering how much I can crank them to get the front to rise. I'm either an idiot, or the front height is not in the service manual. all I know is that my nose sits about 3 inches lower than my buddies 67 newport, and I like the way it looks for his car. the bottom of my front bumper is about 9 inches off the ground, and the tops of my wheel wells are 24 inches off the ground. thanks guys.
 
For '65 the FSM describes how/where to measure for the correct ride height. If I remember correctly, you measure off the lower control arm to the ground at the top and bottom. Does the '66 FSM not show the same? Are you jacking up the car before you are turning the Torsion Bar Adjusters?
