I don't really know anything about it or it's history and this guy didn't seem to know much that wasn't GM. I just drove by it while cruising around D'Iberville, MS and decided to stop and grab a few pictures.
440 is there, newly painted and it supposedly runs well. He told me that he was told it was rebuilt (probably a rattle can rebuild). The odometer shows roughly 56K and the state of the vinyl seats supports that... but you never know.
It's a coast car so there are definitely bubbles where the top used to be (painted top now) and where the skirt meets the quarter. Also, the cowl/firewall area is pretty rough. The PO fiberglassed over some pretty hellacious holes here and it'd probably be best to just cut the welds all the way up to the base of the A-pillar and replace with a panel from a different car. That said, this appears to be the worst spot on the car. The rear perches and the front subframe seem good as it appears the have been undrrcoated a long, long time ago.
For anyone interested, the guy's last name is Toothman and his number is (228)392-8670. He told me he was looking for $6k, but that he doesn't have a lot in it so there's room.
It needs work, but there aren't a whole lot of '67 Chrysler fast tops floating around these days.
P.S. No A/C, Stan.
