Need some help. I was heart broken to hear that a salvage yard in MT where I bought a rust free trunk floor for my last 69 C Body has just crushed all of his cars... Said "not enough money in it" Anyway, as I catch my breath I realize I still need a trunk floor for my 69 Polara. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave 847-459-5421

was that yard Freemans? they did have a 64 valiant convertible on ebay for a while, but never bothered to clean it out so the floors could be viewed. hard to sell something that way. Close to a decade ago, the local yard here got in a pair of 300's around late sixties or so vintage. Never investigated them very close. Owner crushed them so fast one's head could spin. All he saw was the weight.

Yep, It was Fremans.... He was always a good guy. I had purchased other parts from him, fair priced and quick. I know he had at least 3 other rust free 69's, but before I could get him the money, he crushed everything. Unreal ! Guess he doesn't car about American Automobile heritage......

probably was an economic decision - the location (distance) and shipping costs killed many potential deals and costs of employees, equipment, maintenance, environmental compliance, utilities, rent or mortgage may very well have exceeded sales. Or maybe the guy wanted to retire. Am in somewhat of a similar situation. although i have a regular job, am eventually probably going to transfer most of my stash including quite a bit of off beat stuff to desert valley. It is just to hard to find buyers. the end result is stashes wind up either being crushed out or going to larger sellers.
