We're doing some deep dive research into '70 C bodies.

Can anyone document through a fender tag, broadcast sheet or credible VIN on something like dealer paperwork that the 440-4 HP (E86 sales code or U in the VIN) assembly was installed in cars at either plant?

We can document E85 T codes and E87 V codes from Newark but no E86 U codes.

We can document E85 T codes from Windsor but no E86 U code cars.

Again, 1970 only please and only from Newark or Windsor plant.

I have my suspicion and is what I've been trying to figure out with my '70 Newark thread.

1970 Newark "0F" Assembly

Because of that we have been able to confirm "U1F" '71 U-code (not that I was searching for them) exist. Still no "U0F" '70s.
