That is a beautiful Polara whether it has a 383 or a 440.

The VIN says 440.
It was listed as a 440.
It has a dual snorkel air cleaner.
I say it looks like a 440 based on the left exhaust manifold to power brake booster spacing.
It's a 440.
End of story....
But WTF do I know. I'm just a retired truck driver... :icon_geek:

Which is which?

Trick question.
They're not C-bodies so the empiracal data that one would use to arrive to the correct conclusion for ea. example shown would be flawed thus making this prone to error.

Correct - none are from c bodies, but no tricks here or empirical data required, just sharp eyes.

Oh, and there is one ringer in the bunch....not what it may immediately seem. Just for fun take a stab at it.

I refuse to take a "stab" at this by lousy photos on a computer screen. Lets do this at Carlisle next year.

440 and 413 blocks are almost identical. The 2nd photo would seem to be a 383 but theres too much hardware blocking the rest of the pics.

Sorry Fellas, no 426's.......and Definitely no HEMI's, lol. Polara You kill me sometimes.:th_krazy:
