Back then I would have been beating around something from the 30's and bitching about the price and quality of the current junk!

The Barracuda is advertised as a 2 door. What else was there?

Some people didn't know that, or what a Barracuda was other than a fish.

Back then, using the image of a swim suit clad female model was a definite way to get a male's attention. Now, it'd be too "sexist" to be used. Covert "body shamming"? And THAT's a whole 'nuther subject!

Always did like "The Dodge Rebellion" model! The later Miss Direct Connection models? Had to wonder what the person who chose them were thinking, in a couple of years. The annual DuPont paint calendars were very tame, in comparison, back then, but later came under fire for "sexism". Perhaps DuPont knew their target market better than the complainers did? FWIW
