71 Sport Fury GT

I may have an opportunity to buy one of these rare beauties. Just doing some research on whether or not stripe kits are available. It is also hard to find price ranges for these. The car i am looking at is in strong number 3 condition. Wondering what would be an average canadian value.

Yes, some '71 GT owners have found companies that sell them but some are not correct.

Stay tuned as as a member of this forum is trying to work things out with a large stripe and decal manufacturer to reproduce them so stay tuned.

Feel free to email or PM regarding your possible GT purchase.

It is an orange car, not sure about sunroof, going to look at it today. Still wondering what it is worth

So are we. Telling us it is a #3 means little since opinions vary. When you do get to look at it photos and information will help in assessing your prize

I understand opinions vary. I don't feel like I have a lot of time. I was just hoping for someone's opinion so I have something to go by.

Thanks, just got back from looking at the car. It was nice but it was a clone.
What was it, just a Fury? Guess I'm kinda clueless about what makes a GT s a regular Fury.

.....that's a rare one,...there are very few 1971 Sport Fury GT clones out there.

Did you take a fender tag photo?

LocuMob, It was a Sport Fury that was originally equipped with a 360 cubic inch engine. 71 Sport Fury GT's all came with Super Commando 440 engines, heavy duty suspension and a 323 gear ratio. They also had a special stripe package that included GT decals on the hood and a strobe stripe down the sides and around the back. Only 375 GT's built in 71.

Sorry, didn't get a picture of the fender tag. When I was looking at the VIN the seller told me it was a 360 car and a clone. It was a burnt orange color. It also did not have GT badge on trunk lid or rubber bumper cover around tail lights.
