Whats wrong with that mirror....? Aside from the missing glass, which can be replaced.

Someone messed with it and it just flops around otherwise it would just have some mirror glass cut for it.

It's very possible you just need to re-attach the control wires on one end or the other from the sound of things. If one of the cable ends is broken it's a whole 'nother story, but that would just require a new cable and maybe control knob. If one of the retainers on the back of the mirror broke off then you need the mirror too.

yes i about to go out and remove the door panel and see what going on. Thanks for the info.

Checked out the mirror and its a manual mirror and the inside part the glass glues to just flops around so im assuming the ball socket it worn badly.

Another easy fix, then. Access the 2 screws through the holes in the mirror plate to remove the mirror assembly and look at/ repair (tighten up the swivel ball.

Yup, never even thought about a manual mirror.
