Yes and yes. Only 10% have power passenger seats. I don't have any document stating that but someone told me about it years ago and I have been looking at every one since then. I don't see them often. My NYB has one.
 
10 percent seems like a high number for power passenger seats, yet I am curious why one would order one up and not tick the box
 
I don't know what the price was for the power passenger seat back in the day. It must of been significant enough for most people to pass on it. Those seats are in 2 pieces... driver and passenger. Each seat weighs more than 60 lbs. Takes at least 2 guys to get them in and out. All heavy *** motors completely cover the bottom of the seat.
 
According to the window sticker for my '78 NYB. The P28 "power seat left and right, 6-way" was $314.30.
According to the inflation calculator, that was like $1,160.05 in todays money!
So I guess it was a very expensive option. Don't know if I'd tick that box.
