You need these on your build:

I don't know if they are ergonomic but I do know they are mostly made to order. Maybe you can request real llama hair wool over synthetics. LOL

My buddy owns a bunch of alpaca. Maybe I can provide the yarn. Would The Council be willing to take on a project?

I like that interior..........back in 1990 I bought a '79 Caprice sedan from my boss, it was a trade-in (i worked @ a used car lot). Paid $1200. It had a 350-4bbl, exterior was maroon/silver and the seats were blk and gray checkered. i loved that car. a 350 stock in those was hard enough to find, and I have yet to see another interior of the same color.

Yes, Mopar put Metric speedos in cars before 78...I've seen 1968 metric speedos on export cars. As for Canadian production 1977 and on Canadian cars had Metric speedos....

When I ordered my 76 D350 I had the option of a no-charge metric speedo. The odd thing is it was metric only - no dual markings. That made it interesting when it came to warranty issues and service departments not familiar with vehicles registering kilometers instead of miles.

That's not shown in the brochure and I have never seen one like that.

Back in the mid-90s a buddy picked up a little old lady '79 Caprice sedan that was never driven in snow and was mint except for some parking lot dings. It had the 2-tone black-silver paint outside and a screaming red velour interior that you had to see to believe. Car gave him good service for a number of years. I drove in it numerous times and it was great with the F-41 suspension, though the 305 was gutless. Finally his sons took jobs up in the Yukon and they drove it across Canada to get there and left it behind after they decided to come home. Car was a trooper.

Yes, the pre-"metric system" speedos were metric only an example of the what they were like below

In 77 the dual km, & mph speedos showed up.

Actually, Mr. C., I think it was from `78 onward. We had both a `77 and `78 LeMans in our family. I drove the `77 and I`m certain it was in Imperial (ahem) units, while the `78 was definitely metric.

Nope, I don't know what Generic Motors did, but for Chrysler it was 1977.

Here's the 76 cluster from the owner's manual:

And the "New for 77" dual speedo cluster on the 77...again from the owners manual.

Very interesting. I don't think I would want a metric in a B or E body.

Yes, but that '77 is showing imperial units as the primary display. My '77 Lemans was like that too, with small numbers indicating metric equivalents. But the '78 went to metric units as the primary display with imperial as secondary. That is what I was referring to.

Ah, now I get what you're saying...Still not the case for Chrysler. Canadian Mopars in 1977 had speedos with km/h on top in white and mph below in blue as mentioned in the owners manual:
