78 Newport windows?

So the power windows on my 78 Newport hardtop stopped working on the passenger side. I can hear the motors moving but the windows do nothing. Sometimes the passengers front will move a little but not much. I have torn the door panels apart and have looked both in my FSMs and online. I see that they sell just a white "plastic" gear thing. The front window has a significant amount of "wobble" and window gap. I am confused between the possibilities of the gear being broken and the windows just needing realigned. What experience have you all had?

If you can hear the motors running, it's the drive gear. Remove motor and screws holding gear in. More than likely you'll see that the inner small end has broken off large white gear.
