9 1/4 rear end with 3.23 limited slip and disc brakes from Imperial 1974-5

This is a dream thread of information guys. You are hitting on one of my weaker areas with so much product and technical knowledge... this one should be a reference for future questions. I have only ever set up a few rear ends, my experience was mostly reseals and axle bearings. I just wanted to give a big thank you to all involved.
 
how common is the 3;23 ratio in our c body drivers? imperial or new yorker.... I have the 2:73's (or 2:71's as some sites call it ) ... Have a couple of these 3:23 rears on the shelf and debated swapping ring and pinions but i don't want it to scream driving 75 mph on the highway.
