Hi,

Ok, Here is what is up. In my 65 Polara the 383 has a A/C pump on it and car didn't come with A/C. I Plan on removing it at some point in the future. What all needs to change with the belt routing? The main reason for asking this, is because the current upper hose is kinked and I need to fix that. Would I be safe to remove the A/C pump and Install a upper hose for a Non A/C 383?

Thanks

Eric

Just the correct belts, and the correct P.S. pump brackets I think. You'll simply have extra grooves on the crank shaft and alternator pulleys.
I said I think.

The A/C and Alternator is run by two belts, water pump is separate, P.S.is separate. If you remove the A/C you need the brackets for the non A/C alternator as well.

I have non ac brackets and even all the pullys. I went with serptine kit and will never go back. 68 300 but I have a 440. Bet they are the same. Also have the belts. Even have single groove alternator. I already sent tje ps pump away but you do not need to change that. As mentioned above ps doesn't matter.
