Aftermarket Two barrel carburetor

The Holley 4412C is rated at 500cfm and comes in a manual choke version only. This is designed as a universal replacement carb, mostly for performance applications.

The Holly 2300 is rated at 350-500 CFM is also a manual choke version only. Also a universal replacement.

I don't know if the air cleaner and base plate for these carbs are going to fit your application. You could have had a Holley 2BBL as standard equipment but the car also may have come with a Carter BBD.

You might want to also consider a stock 4BBL manifold to which an aftermarket thermoquad could be installed. That would entail a lot more work.

The after market Holley carbs are in the $400 range, so you might want to consider rebuilding what you have.

Thanks for the recommendations. I may just end up having it rebuilt. It’s a holley that’s in it now. I’m not sure what model but it looks original.

The car I just bought had its original carb, which seems to never have been removed according to the C-body specialist who is fixing the car for me. I asked him if we should rebuild it, or if there was a better aftermarket choice that I should buy. He was rather emphatic that the way to go was to rebuild the original -- he said that the fit with the car would be best if I kept the carb designed for it.
