Android Phone Issues

Hey guys,
Maybe a crazy question to ask on a car forum, but yesterday my phone started acting up. First it was AccuWeather, but then Gmail and other apps were not functioning correctly.

According to the web Google botched an "Android System Webview" update that is causing the problem. They say to go to the play store and update the "Android System Webview". The problem is that there is no update available.

Has anyone else run into this? How did you fix it?

Funny you bring this up as I had a similar problem. After doing an update on my phone my messaging, email, and google news app stopped working. They would receive ok but I couldn't open anything. I went to my AT&T store and described the problem. He told me the update had a problem that caused these things not to work so all he did was delete the updates and now the phone is back to normal. If you know how to delete those updates it should fix it, or take it to your phone store and have them do it. I wish problems were this easy to fix all the time.

It turned out all I had to do was update Google chrome. Kind of funny because I don't use chrome, but the apps that were affected do.
