Seller's description

Am selling my 1971 Chrysler Newport that has a 383 big block with a 727 trans. Car is untouched and in very original condition with factory hubcaps in the trunk along with spare tire with shag carpet cover and factory carb and some valve train components that were upgraded with the cam shaft. Car sounds amazing and runs very smooth and healthy, has that nice hot rod chop. Vinyl top is in great shape and is conditioned regularly. Only aftermarket stuff it has is a edlebrock 750 4 barrel with electric choke, a comp cam shaft, and a coil and a brand new car cover to come with. This car still has factory A/C and Heat and is ready to cruise the roads. Serious buyers only!!!!NO LOW BALL OFFERS!!!! Thank you! Will sell with the centerline wheels with brand new tires for right price

I think he means "choppy" idle.
On a Chrysler? more like 'Hot Rod Flop'.... lol

"Will sell with the centerline wheels with brand new tires for right price".

:BangHead::poke::icon_fU:

Oh gawd... picture present what you are selling for the price in the AD ffs.
I'll tell'ya thou since it's on FoolsBook that 'right price' mark up is a "NO LOW BALL OFFERS!!!!" magnet.
Also a "Is this still available" default message flood.

Nice car! The interior on this Newport Royal, in particular, looks to be in excellent condition. This is rare.

Dog dishes and white letters on a Newport :BangHead:

It's all ready to be shipped off to Europe with this combo, lol.

I like the simple sombrero-style wheel covers that came on Newports. Thankfully, those are still with the car as reported above.

If I had the room, I'd be all over this one. Simple, clean, elegant.

"Car is untouched and in very original condition" except for the lumpy cam that we put in this low-compression 383.
It sounds very nice in the FB videos, but I wonder how well it runs. Esp if it has 2.76 gears that were most common.

EDIT -
I am 90% sure this car was on FB several months ago, NE of Indianapolis. With same pics but with a video.
There's no video now.

The carb is too big for the combination too...

But I seem to remember this car too. Bet with some searching you'll either find another sales ad from FB or I'd even say possibly a member owned the car.

Rant on: Seems like people love to bolt on some "go fast" stuff they read about in a magazine without any thought. Camshafts are chosen on how they sound at idle rather than how they perform and on and on. :Rant off
