There is a 54 Savoy near me for sale. I am interested in it and was curious if anyone here is familiar with them. Thanks in advance.

These were pretty good cars in their day, well noted for economy of operation. The 217 flat head six was the standard engine. Could get these cars with a 3 speed stick, a 3 speed stick with overdrive or the 2 speed Powerflite automatic. These cars were not noted for having an abundance of power but they were very reliable with either the automatic or the stick shift. Typically these cars had manual brakes and steering and they were built like a tank.
