Does anyone have any info on this group? Are they based in Germany? Most of the cars look to be excellently restored. I'd love to hear more about this group. I can imagine the cars are quite head turners running in Europe! Love to see a video of driving on the Autobahn.

@Rubatoguy, "Boats by the River", or short BBTR, is a German show initiated and run by me, myself and I for four years (2015-2018). Since then we are a team of four couples organizing this Fuselage C-body dedicated event. Participants are coming from all over Europe, mainly Germany, of course, but also from as far away as Sweden (750 miles one way). You can read more about it on our website: www.bbtr.de

You can find our little show also on Facebook with tons of images from the last nine years: Boats by the River - BBTR

Most of the cars (99 percent) are unrestored or just partly restored. Most common are Chrysler models, followed by Plymouth, Dodge and Imperial. In Europe these fullsize cars are quite popular, because they are the epitome of American lifestyle.

We are considering ideas for trips in 2026 and see the BBTR will be held in Germany next year. Do organizers provide information on other things to do in the area/for day trips (besides this being in the heart of Riesling country...but I can't drink the entire time on holiday!) TY

Of course you can. In the town itself, they even have automated wine distributors:

and the locals post directions so that you don't get lost -- "cool drinks around the clock":
