brake problems

recently I noticed my brake pedal is staying high and hard. We bled the brakes once but this keeps happening. Any ideas from anyone who might have had this happen to them. I have a 68 Plymouth fury lll convertible. 318 small block, runs good just dealing with this brake problem.

If you have power brakes the booster is bad. Same issue on my car when I was running drum power brakes.

Agree. Check that first. Might get lucky & be this simple. Had this happen to me twice.

Also the check valve in vacuum line

Could be a bad check valve that plugs into the break booster
