Brakes - Spindle

Is it normal for the brakes to have a slight tilt to the front like seen in the picture. I'm asking because I got my spindles mixed up whole painting so I'm hoping it's not tilted like that because I have the spindles on the wrong sides.

I saw in a 67 parts manual the spindles were the same part number, which makes me think the are the same for each side.

They are the same. It is usually a good idea to install them back on the same side as they flex differently when mounted on the left or right. Probably not going to be an issue on a weekend cruiser though. Be sure to have the alignment checked when the job is done.
