I'd take it if it were for sale (fairly priced) ... what I would change appears relatively easily UN-done ('cept the pinstripes as they look painted-on, hope the partial side moldings are taped on).
'74 Fury coupes in apparently decent shape aint that easy to find otherwise.

not at all. If I buy a factory EB7 blue SFGT and it wears currently an FK5 brown paint job: It is still an eb7 blue car and I can repaint it in the correct colour. It will always be a factory blue car. From the collectors point of view: It always counts how it was from the factory not what...

i may be old-fashioned, but i just can't stand ANY classic wearing wheels over 16" in diameter. Just looks goofy. i'd have standard 15's myself depending on model. Oh, and what's with the Buick portholes on the Fury? Oh well, there's all kinds in the world......

looks like Detroit Wheel has something along the lines you were thinking chief?
20×8 steel "Delrays" with trim rings, powder-coated silver, 4.0 in backspace, 245/40-20 tires (almost 28 inch diameter, but still an inch shorter than a 235/75-15 OEM size tire) so probably fits ok.

This Monaco would really benefit from a nice thin whitewall or even raised white letters. Just something to break up all the black.
