Sorry All, a couple rudimentary questions that I can't seem to find answers to anywhere else via Google, YouTube, or service manual.
- I have the 68 318 and would like to swap the air cleaner to a round style without the snorkel, but I see that there's a breather tube to the oil filler cap. If I remove this and replace it with a regular cap am I going to kill/overheat something? I see others with this setup and am not sure how they do it.
- According to the stamping I have a 2bbl Carter carburetor that needs work and I'd like (my mechanic) to replace with a new one (so I can tinker with and learn from the old one). I see that Weber and Edelbrock apparently still make these but can't find a direct replacement. Does anyone know where I can find an exact part number from them?
Thanks!
