time to replace the rug in my newport, any recommendations molded is probably the way to go how bout suppliers?

Once you put your molded carpet in don't be in a hurry to trim it and put the seats in. I put mine in and walked on it for a week while I did other interior work, that way there is no worry of having it pull out of the sill plates. Once I was ready to do the belts and seat I took an old soldering iron and ran it through the holes from under the car, not just the tip but the body of the iron. A couple I could only get the tip through from the bottom but opened them up from the top. Locating console brackets take a little more work.

I used a soldering iron too and it is the BEST way to make holes in carpet.

I bought a set from Trim Parts as well.

Made by ACC. (Auto Custom Carpet)

I paid more for the mass backing. Makes the carpet much stiffer and helps with sound deadening.

I let it sit laid out for a couple of days and then in the car in the sun for a couple more.

Start in the center and work out. Fasten eveything down before you trim the sills or you'll end up short.

Hope the input helps.
