Convertible Top Installation Cost

Out the door price for installation was $2,265. That included new pads and a custom well liner, the cables were reusable.

I supplied the top with glass window that I had ordered on the Robbins website. That was $572 shipped to my door.

So all in total was $2,837 which seems fair considering the craftsmanship of the install and the quality of the top.

Dropped the car off Friday and picked it up yesterday (Thursday).

I was told not to lower the top for a couple of weeks to allow it to stretch properly. The pictures arent great but the car is transformed.

Excellent, I'll be heading there in a couple of weeks. Did they have to replace any weather striping? I'm going through all my parts now and not sure if mine are any good.

He did not replace the weather stripping. He said he would but suggested I do it myself as it isn't difficult (his words, not mine). When I get to fixing and aligning the windows (all of them are wonky) I will replace the weatherstripping.

@Samplingman - I am so glad you recommended Sam @ Moorestown Auto Upholstery. He was great to work with and he is clearly a craftsman which is hard to find these days.

I do find it ironic that the top replacement was probably the biggest single expense so far and it will spend 95% of the time in the down position where nobody will see it
