Which Corvette switch?
After I bought my '70 Monaco Brougham (with factory cornering lights), I determined the reason the horn did not work was the factory Rim Blow steering wheel horn switch apparently had a history of activating when the interior temp got over 80*F. So the horn relay was fried as the horn switch was hard and hard to use.
In looking for a new turn signal switch (in the Mopar Parts jobber catalogs of the 1975 era), I discovered that the same switch that fit a normal '76 Cordoba tilt wheel w/o cornering lights also fit my Monaco with them. Never did consider that the Cordoba switch would have the lead as an extra wire not hooked up. It seemed that the Chrysler factory parts book was flaky in its listings. So I never did get things fully replaced. Choosing to park the car focus on a different factory steering wheel (as the 1976 tilt steering wheels) to get away from the Rim Blow issues. I ended up buying a new factory Rim Blow later on, though.
Rin Blow was a "flash in the pan" luxury option for Chrysler, Ford, and GM. Gone after only about 2 model years.
Happy Holidays!
