There was a time when these two great machine types interacted daily...C-Body Mopars in the State Patrol/Law enforcement monitoring the daily Big Rig movement in the 60's and 70's. I happen to grow up in Kentucky admiring both...Furys, Polaras, etc.. and specifically Peterbilt Cabover style tractors. Close friend of my dad was an over-the-road trucker. So, had some great exposure to Cabover trucks or semi trucks in general. Anyone share the same nostalgia/enthusiasm for these old beauties? I'd love to have one in the stable. Wife says no.

Always ran the modern trucks for a paycheck, but someday the right old truck will come up.

When I see those Pete's, I think of the old TV show BJ and the bear. But his was orange and white, I'm not even sure if it was a Pete, it may have been the Kenworth or another model. Either way I love the old stuff.

Most impressive facing These trucks in Person as a 10 year old during my first Holidays in the US. I like the Peterbilt COE of that period best; Drivers seemed to generally prefer the conventionals for safety reasons I guess.

I'll take a K100 flat top. Guy I work with has a 362 model Pete ( like the silver and blue one ) it is a '96 so not truly vintage but they did not change much.
I would also like a IH 9670 or a old Transtar II

That is awesome. Bunk is above cab, box behind cab is room for more small shipments and or shuttle box. If you cannot get trailer to house you can charge more for small truck to shuttle shipment to the house. Charges are by the hour, if you can do it with the box on your tractor means more money for you.

driven by shanty (aka k-town) in my youth, looks along the same line of standards to me. Frankfurt had much better standards, or so I've heard
