I met a new friend here in Arkansas who invited me to join his brother plus another friend on a cross border trip to this Long Time Extravaganza, around 40 years.
It was a riot!!! There was even a burlesque show. Only in America!
This story was posted on my other thread but felt it worthy for its own spot on this stage.
Senior Dragster Racing Association
(Only in Oklahoma)
Limited to Flat Head Ford V-8, all 6-cylinders and 4’s, with an 11:50 breakout.
The above car/engine was built and driven by an 87 year old who fabricated the custom intake & exhaust.
Another slant 6.
Eddie Munster was present signing autographs. Also in attendance at the 50 year anniversary of American Graffiti were Candy Clark & Mackenzie Phillips.
Great sounding music
I didn’t see any C-bodies, but honestly this show was huge and there was even a big “car corral” outside that was missed.
Below was a wicked All-Steer vehicle that spun like a top smoking the tires and the joint up. A crowd pleaser.
Rod & Customs everywhere.
RATRODS were also in abundance.
