Daylight Savings Time???

I just learned that AZ is always on mountain standard which is the same as pacific daylight time therefore the two states will be on the same time all year should California go full time pacific dst. However if Cali did this it means that others in the pacific time zone(OR, WA, BC) would either need to follow or be an hour apart from Cali in the winter, and if they did follow they would be 2 hrs apart from neighboring mountain time to the east for part of the year. So should California do this on their own? Perhaps not.

I am in for DST year around. It sucks when it is dark at 4:30. I usually hit work around 6:00 - 6:30 am, summer is light, but after September /October it is dark anyway. I like light after work. In the summer I like it light until 10:30 or 11:00. I can get an extra 7 hours of work done outside before dark. Although the neighbors start to comment about how late I am working if I don’t shut down my projects by 10:00.

:thankyou:

I like the extra light in the summer. I like the extra morning hour in the winter. While no one is farming around here per se the winter hour would make the morning commute a whole lot safer since it is dangerous enough as it is now.

Lol... not down here.. sorry I misunderstood being that you're from that far north...

When I was going to college in San Diego and my parents moved to the San Francisco Bay Area I noticed on my trips up that it was light about a 1/2 hour more than in San Diego during the summer.

Visiting my daughter in Idaho on the 4th of July they had to wait until 1105 to set off the fireworks. The sky was that light that late .
