This dealership badge is for a Buick dealership, but it still has my interest. At a certain point they interacted with "my" Mopar dealership, Slate Motor Co., in buying their GMC license:

"The original Patterson Dealership was founded in 1969 by Richard L. Patterson Sr. as Patterson Buick/Opel. It was located on Lebanon St. in Mt. Airy beside the Dairy Center. The dealership location was moved in 1974 to 1935 Rockford St. (Hwy 601). Also in 1974, GMC Truck was purchased and the collision center was founded. American Motors along with Jeep were added in 1979. The addition of Renault followed a few years later."

Were these plastic badges already around by 1969, or did they appear only later to fully oust the metal dealership badges?
