Getting heads ready for Tux's head swap that needs to be taken care of in the near future.
I did a bunch of port clean up on a pair of heads I have here, some gasket/port match, clean up rough stuff in the bowls, ports and casting flash.smooth the exhaust.
I did not want to open up but clean up and make equal as I could.
These are a pair of 906 heads with hardened seats installed, I have a set of 452 heads that will be dropped at my machinist for a check up and tank cleaning before we do any work on the 452 heads.

Then
i started with the exhaust manifolds port matching.
I set the heads on manifolds, find what ones match closest. Then I hook up the vacuum to the exhaust manifold with the cylinder head and spray a lil paint into the exhaust bowl. When I lift head from manifold I am left with the areas that I need to clean up on the manifold.

Few more pics of the port/paint results. After this I will port the manifold to remove the paint. I have stamped the head left and right to keep matched on install.

Blend the guide bosses instead of the sharp blunt edge. If you narrow it at the upper radius it allows more air in a pinchy area of the port. Keep the area under the seat no bigger than 90% of the seat ~ 1.87". Be careful raising the roof around the guide, gets thin.
