The Olds Cutlass hood stripes went across the rear of the hood. The Dodge stripes were just ahead of the tail lights. As if "They were so fast they almost didn't get the stripe installed." So, the Olds was too slow, the Dodges were too fast, BUT the pictured Dodge must have hit the brakes at the last moment, even sliding sideways a little from rear wheel lock-up?
As incorrect as the stripe might be for that car, it's still "in the family" and not something that came from an auto supply "adornment rack".
