Fan shroud

I just picked up a '67 300 and it's missing the fan shroud. I've done some searching online but cannot locate anything for the C body 26". Any suggestions? Has anyone tried a universal aluminum from Summit?

I dont know if that would fit your but shrouds are out there. I do not have a 67 Parts book but a part number would help in your search

I agree, a part # would help you in your search. I think you're looking for2785435 or 2524647 which may or may not be just for Imperial. I am assuming its a 26" rad.?

I was told that the part# is 2785435. E bay searches pull up B body models but measurements seem to match (just missed one today).
Car has matching numbers with 70k original miles. Base line interior, body is straight with a great paint job. Haven't driven much but looking forward to some great rides.

That's a b body fan shroud. they use a 5 bolt shroud. the c body's use a 6 bolt shroud. If your car didn't orig. have one you will need the smaller fan to use a shroud. The cars without a shroud had a larger fan.

The rad has 6 studs for mounting so I'm assuming that it had a shroud at some point.

I know that rule doesn't apply to small blocks since I put an A Body fan shroud on the Polara without issues.

Yep. My car orig. didn't have a shroud. I went to install it and it wouldn't fit the fan. I installed the fan that fits the shroud it works perfect.

What was the deciding factor for a car getting a shroud? A click at the sales desk or did something trigger the addition of a shroud?

I have no recollection of optional shrouds back then.
Possibly ordering a HD cooling or tow package would have included a shroud where there wasn't one.
