Robert James "Bob" Renton's Obituary, Visitation & Funeral Information

Decatur – Robert James “Bob” Renton, 79, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Bob was born on November 3, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA, the son of John J. Renton and Julia M. Selai. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Decatur and worked as an electrical engineer.
Private services will be held.

Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences and memories may be shared at https://www.gracelandfairlawn.com.

R.I.P. Bob.

He did not post much here, but he did make a post about two C-bodies that belonged to his friend Tom: a 300 Hurst and about a 1970 Newport 'vert that Bob helped Tom clone into a 300 Hurst. I am not sure that @Trace 300 Hurst has this info.

Gentlemen,
Thank you all for your warm and generous welcome.
My close friend has the 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst. Both he and I travelled to Detroit Michigan several times for the WOODWARD AVENUE DREAM CRUISE. We travelled to the Chrysler museum to display our cars and met the original Recharges and Tom Hoover, rather of the 426 Hemi engine.
Several years later, i helped Tom clone a 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst convertible (from a Newport convertible). There were only 2 Hurst convertibles made and one was destroyed in an accident. Met Linda Vaughn (Miss Hurst)....she thought that Tom's car...
