Fire fire fire!

Damn, that just sucks.

I LOVE the Apache. My favorite truck with no close second.

I put out a p/s hose fire on my fury in '93. I had been having radiator leaks and kept a 5 gal jug of water in the trunk.

Same thing happened to me. I was pulling into work and heard a pop, hiss and loads of white smoke billowed out of the hood. I had a pretty good idea what it might be so I parked, popped the trunk and ran to the front with the jug. Glug, glug and the smoke stopped.

A buddy helped me get a new hose over lunch and I put it on after work and drove her home.

Don't be a baby and get a 5# unit. Get a 10lb extinguisher. Also put it where it can be seen. It may not be you that puts out your car fire.

p.s. I heard a similar story from a guy from California. He had his air cleaner off and was tweaking something. He had parked near the beach. His carb caught fire and a bystander threw handfuls of sand onto his carb to put it out. Yes his enigne was running, yes it stopped the fire. The bystander was oblivious as to what he had really done though.
