...and of course the back right brake locks up tight after twenty minutes. While waiting for my buddy to come by with his hauler, I decided to salvage what I could of the day and snap some pics. It was just after 11 am, the weather was gorgeous, and I think some of these turned out pretty nice. Next month, we're overhauling the brake system again. New pads, getting the drums turned, replacing some of the lines, everything we should have done last but didn't.

I don't think I've ever been stranded in a prettier vehicle.

nice car and what a bummer it is always the one thing that you say it will be alright but then it happens and then you remember I should have reworked it .all a learning curve but you did get twenty minutes of a great ride with more to come

yeah, I'd be more bummed but we were already planning on doing quite a bit of work to those rear brakes anyway, so really this just made it more of a critical priority than a "when I have a chance" kind of thing. And we've had those brakes apart several times already, so we're getting quite used to putting them back together. I just need to wait a couple paychecks for the money to get the drums turned and get some new pads and lines

A Belated Welcome to FCBO Caxtonia. BTW, Being from where you call home would you care to give we masses all an eyes on opinion other then what we already know that everything they have on that prairie they believe iz solid gold of Moore's Auto Salvage, Please? Jer

I'm...having a bit of difficulty parsing that question. Are you asking for my opinion on Moore's? Because I'm not sure I could give an objective one, I've been friends with their family since I was in high school. It's also where I got the Windsor from, and where I work on it when I have the time and money, and they've been quite generous with helping me along so far so obviously I'm pretty biased in their favor.

I understand your objectivity issue Caxtonia. Not asking you to burn them at the stake. Just asking for your opinion in dealing with them. The opinion of most in the hobby around this country seams to be one of some confusion when trying to deal with the general working Staff and nonchalant attitude when trying to communicate by phone or Computer. Seams those on that staff would definitely benefit from a Dale Carnegie Course on HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE. You might pass that opinion on to your friends at Moore's? BTW, I'm not too new to the hobby, I'm a month away from being 78 years young and been driving since I was 11 and playing with my own cars since I was 14 so I've been around just ah bit. If making a copy of this post and having one of the Moore's read it we might all WIN, Jer

Moore's replied to my inquiry for parts. Didn't have what i needed but did respond within a week.

Had the Monaco out a month ago. We had a warm week up here. I wanted to excersize the car after rebuilding the front end. Big difference and makes the big car fun to drive. I miss that direct throttle response in the new cars. The Monaco likes to chirp the tires on the 1 - 2 upshift.
