Hello C-body friends, I’m regrettably selling my 1970 Chrysler Newport 4 door hardtop. Recently moving into a smaller home and a growing family, space is getting tight and with my 58 Plymouth Christine already demanding most of my attention these days my bandwidth to stay on top of all my cars is shrinking LOL! Anyhow Her name is Jackie Blue, its important to me that I find her a good home. Hoping someone from here can look after her or one of our friends from Germany. Maybe she can join BBTR, that would be great as well! I’ve really enjoyed driving a C body over the past 5 years. Always garage kept under my care, in that time I’ve done so much work$$ to make her a fun reliable turnkey car. I’ve done all the hard work in sourcing original parts, rebuilt the entire brake system and upgraded the front with factory disc brakes using original OEM Chrysler disc brake spindles with the original wide mouth piston calipers with 11.5 rotors, took 2 years to source these parts. Professionally did a stock rebuild of the 383 v8 engine in 2020 (currently less than 2k miles on the rebuild) tranny serviced as well. Receipts to prove rebuild $$. New MSD electronic ignition, new 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, rebuilt front suspension , new upper and lower control arms bushings powder coated upper and lower control arms, new ball joints, tie rods, new rebuilt PS gearbox from Steer and gear. New gas tank from Canada spectra premium. New E-brake cable installed. New alternator, hot tanked and repainted radiator, Reuphostered front and rear bench seats, new aftermarket grant steering wheel. Fresh white wall tires with chrome mopar rallye wheels. Oil capacity 5 quarts with new oil filter, currently using 10w-30 Torco TR-1 with zinc or Valvoline VR-1 with zinc for the flat tapper cam. The car sounds and drives great, stops good! starts up every time! Fun to drive gets looks everywhere you go. I have over $20,000 vested into this car, unfortunately I know I will get no where near that amount of $. My loss is your gain, so with that said, I’ll let her go for the bargain price of $11,500 and you’ll have a beautiful clean solid driver, take her anywhere. For serious inquires only, please send me a PM and I will provide additional pics and info. The car will come with extra parts, stock hubcaps, original steering wheel and extra suspensions parts control arms etc.. clean Ca title ready to go, car is located in Orange County California.

Thanks
Mike

Brake MC has been updated to bendix booster with dual res for the disc drum setup not shown in some engine pics

Like I said great opportunity for someone who can get in and enjoy the benefits of driving it right away as opposed to a costly project car.

Did recover the seats? If so do you have the head rests? can the head rests be reinstalled?

Fantastic looking Chrysler. Good luck with the sale and to the new owner, I wish it was me. Did recover the seats? If so do you have the head rests? can the head rests be reinstalled?
I no longer have the head rest, but the seats have been reupholstered over the headrest holes. I thought it looked cleaner this way but some will disagree and that’s ok.

Is that original paint? Can we see the fender tag?
Not the original color, it’s been repainted once as far as I know. It’s a nice metallic blue with a hint of teal maybe? It’s much better in real life. I’ll post a pic of the fender tag as soon as I can.

The car was the original blue that came on these 70 newports though. The lighter blue of course .

She’s a beautiful car!, again consider all the work I’ve done. I have 9k in the engine rebuild alone, drove her this weekend and now clocked just over 2,000 miles on this fresh engine. Great deal turn key car, put your wrenches away with this one and get in and enjoy the open road! Open to reasonable offers, if I can‘t sell her then guess I’ll just keep her. :)

Happy new year!

Thank you, CE43L0C172188 looks superb. What is the zip tie above the fender tag?
