Formal vs Fusey ride experience

For those of you who have owned both formals and fuseys what are the differences in the ride quality? Are they pretty much the same?

it's been awhile since i owned my '78 but i remember it as being a lot tighter and more manageable than my '69 that i just drove yesterday. love the '69 though. when i drove the '69 full time and was used to it, it was a real joy. that new yorker steering wheel with the hand grips and the steering so light. seems i could spin that wheel like a roulette wheel. all in all, beyond description. i don't use drugs but that car is my heroin. the '78, basic full size car.
