Well, since I recently sold our lake lot (where it had been stored), and because my town hasn't granted permission yet for my pole barn garage (14 months and counting :BangHead:) I decided to let it go.

It's an '87 Shelby Charger GLHS, and it was a faithful steed for years. We certainly broke a lot of hearts back in the late 80's/early 90's. I can't count how many Mustangs and Camaros I smoked with it, with only a few driveway mods! Oh, the look on their faces! :icon_scratch: Anyway, I sold it to a friend who just had to have it back in about '98, and he proceeded to trash the thing. So I bought it back for $500 just to save it from the boneyard around '01, with full intentions of fixing it back up. Well, one thing led to another, and with it needing basically a ground up restoration, it just never came to be.

Thankfully, I did manage to find a fellow Mopar nut who is very excited about it, and plans on that total redo. At least it won't go to the crusher. There were only 1500 of these made (x 2 years), and of course ol' Shel won't be making anything anymore. Just thought I'd share a piece of history of when Ma Mopar finally got back into the performance game.

Whadaya mean Tallhair, I am STILL in my heyday! :icon_lol: Actually I do have some around here somewhere, but I will have to locate them and get them scanned in, as they are on film. Haha, remember that stuff? Ah, the days before the digital age!

It might be worth it, though. Then you guys could see that car in a better light, and me with my sweeeet mullet!:headbang:
