Try to restart it is "safe Mode". Depending on the operating system you are running it might be by pressing the "F8" on boot up. This will restart the system with very limited drivers and functionality. It should stop the offending program for executing on start up. From there, run your virus scan to isolate the virus or Trajan. Once it is removed or isolated, you should be able to reboot.

Another option is to go back one day or to the most recent backup date.

Then you have to go back and redo all your security updates for MS and whatever programs you have. (very time consuming).

Bah! System Restore has been turned off/deactivated on every Windows OS I've used well since it first appeared in Windows Millennium, useless waste of space as if you have something serious it will infect the system restore files. I remember wasting a bunch of time searching the net and trying to clean the infected restore files of a WinME system long long ago. Then manually trying to clean the left over crap in the registry, gave up and wiped the disk and did a re-install. (much less time involved and more secure)

If you get a comprised system it is just best to wipe the disk and re-install for the best security. I don't have much faith in any of the anti virus programs on the market as you will find by submitting a questionable file to one of the online multi virus engine scanner sites you will see what gets by and the false positives by some of the more notable AV programs.

Learned about "In the wild" long ago, important to know.

Here's another KitBoga video that kind of explains the whole scammer process (via Granny) of the original post error screenshot.
