HP in a 1977 440 would make it the 275 hp Cop engine (or 230 hp - depends on what chart. Seems to be all over the place). How the heck did that get into your car???

Available? Absolutely.
Police spec'd Gran Fury C-bodies and Fury/Monaco B-bodies. No trucks.
I have never seen an HP in any other model but now that I've said that, a gazillion Chrysler owners with a block stamped 440 HP will come out of the wood work now.

A true E86 with a 440 HP will also have dual snorkels.

I think the HP's still kept the 7.8 C.R.
